PRESIDENT AND CEO

Donovan Fredricksen, Ph.D.

In addition to a higher education career that spans over two decades, Dr. Fredricksen has been actively engaged in serving the community, informing the concerned, and advocating for the broken. With a passion for mental health concerns and a drive for understanding, he is a popular speaker and a prolific writer.

Donovan has not simply heard about mental illness, but has lived in the shadow of its grip. He is currently writing a book entitled "Surviving the Storm," chronicling his family's 20-year encounter with his wife, Kelli's debilitating struggle with treatment resistant Bipolar 1 Disorder. Their video of the same name is available below.

Reach out to Dr. Fredricksen at Donovan@TXMHR.org with questions about writing or speaking engagements.
